The course offers a balanced approach with both content lectures and the review of a banking case study, allowing participants to immediately apply their knowledge.
Attendees will deepen their understanding of the subject through a blend of lectures and case study analysis, designed to simulate both offsite and onsite risk assessment activities. Lectures will cover credit, operations, and market/liquidity risks, each providing an overview of the processes and techniques used to assess inherent risk, risk management, residual risk, and the potential future micro and macroeconomic impacts on a bank’s risk profile.
Participants will identify and prioritize areas of risk, evaluate risk management processes, and develop a written risk assessment that highlights strengths and weaknesses in each functional area and assesses the overall risk of the institution.
The Risk-Focused Supervision and Risk Assessment course is designed for financial institution supervisory staff with three to five years of experience in bank examination, inspection and/or risk assessment.
