The 59th edition of the CAPTAC-DR Bulletin features an article on the recent revision of the Basel Core Principles, conducted by the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision (BCBS) in 2024. This update reflects new advances in banking regulation and supervision, structural changes in the financial sector, and the lessons learned since the last revision in 2012.
It also includes a special note on “The Fintech ecosystem: the case of Stablecoins and institutional arrangements for the supervision of financial technology,” which explores how the rise of fintech, particularly Stablecoins, is transforming the global financial landscape, along with the regulatory challenges that arise from these developments.
